Horizontal Transition Between Institutional Programs

To the University 2017-2018 Education and Training For the Associate and Undergraduate Programs in the Spring Semester of YEAR, “Transfer between Programs at the Higher Education Institutions and Programs under the Bachelor’s Degree, Regulations Regarding the Principles for the Credit Transfer between Institutions with Double Major, student intake will be made.

Documents Required for Application

The application will be made online. The requested documents will be scanned and uploaded to the system.

• Student certificate
• Certified status report (Transcript)
• Approved curriculum and course content
• Certificate of non-disciplinary penalty
• Result document of the year in which OSYM exam was taken
• Detailed result document of the year that was put into the OSYM examination
• Certificate of achievement from the preparatory class and / or equivalent foreign language examinations

(Note: “This document is obligatory for students of Department of Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Department of Political Science and International Relations, Department of International Trade and Logistics and English Language Teaching Department with Computer Engineering!”)

IMPORTANT: Online application will be made individually and no online application is made at our university. Incomplete papers online applicants will not be considered and evaluated.

General Principles and Application Principles

• If the center’s placement scores for the year when the student is enrolled must be equal to or higher than the baseline grade at the beginning of another diploma program,
• Students who register according to the Special Ability Test result can apply for the conditions of the second article but can not apply to the programs that accept students with the special talent exam,
• Students will be able to transfer to the undergraduate or graduate programs provided that they have the central placement score of the higher education programs they want to pass with the central placement scores,
• Students may transfer only once according to the Additional Article-1, but students who transfer in accordance with the said clause may return to the higher education institution to which they obtained the OSYS center placement post-
• Students who are enrolled in any higher education program in the result of ÖSYS of the relevant year may apply for the spring semester,
• In the event that the number of students applying in accordance with the said article does not exceed the published quota for the spring semester, the registration of candidates should be made, if the number of applicants is more than the quota of the applicant,
• With the DGS score, it is only possible to apply to the higher education undergraduate programs defined in the DGS Guidelines and the candidates must have the DGS score of the program for the relevant year. If the student is not taken with DGS per year,
• In the event that the applicants for horizontal transfer pursuant to the Additional Article 1 have special conditions in order to be able to register for the program in the OSHC Manual,
• If the student is not admitted to the diploma program that the student wishes to pass to the diploma program in which he / she is currently enrolled, he / she will not be able to graduate because the diploma program does not have the central placement base score,
• Teaching language If a student who wishes to transfer to a preparatory class or a first class is required to take a foreign language preparatory course in case the student does not fulfill the foreign language condition,
• Students who fail in the Preparatory Class may also apply to other higher education programs if they meet the conditions under the said article,
• In evaluating the applicants, only the student is registered, the program is placed in the program year, ÖSYM center placement scores are taken into account, In the absence of conditions,

Evaluation of Applications

• The applications will be evaluated by the governing board of the relevant units.
• The application will be announced at www.hku.edu.tr.
• Candidates accepted for the application will be listed in two separate lists, original and reserve candidates.
